How would you like to be able to monitor, say the activties in other workspaces from a single workspace? Kind of like how Opera Neon uses a floating screen to let you watch videos while you do something else. Well, maybe Window Corner Preview has come to our rescue.
Window Corner Preview is a GNOME extension that allows you to keep track of multiple other workspaces and fullscreen app windows by means of a resizable floating window while working in a different workspace. This feature is known as ‘Picture-in-picture‘.
With this extension enabled you can have a video playing in a floating VLC window or an ongoing Skype video call in full screen while you’re working on, say a code project.
It doesn’t matter what app it is, if it is open you can preview it. Which is unlike the ‘picture-in-picture’ feature in Windows 10 and Android smartphones which are limited to video previews.

Mind you, Window Corner Preview allows you to do only one thing, preview. Hovering over any of the app windows will allow you see their activity but not to interact with the app itself. I have a feeling that will require a completely different and more complex extension.
