Hi, everyone! How many of us are still searching for music players? I’m glad to be of service. Today I introduce to you, an app born after the seeming death of another music player, Songbird.
Nightingale is a beautifully designed open source and cross-platform music player built with the aim of playing various types of audio formats while being aesthetically pleasing to behold.
It features a themeable app window with nicely organized panels all around the 4 sides.

Most of Nightingale’s functionality is provided by the tons of add-ons that are available for its users e.g. searching Mp3 Skull for tracks, browsing Wikipedia, retrieving song lyrics, etc.
There are even extensions with preset UI setups – this way, you make sure your music player has just the functions you are certain that you need and will use.

Nightingale is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures across the 3 major platforms so you have no compatibility problem to bother about.
On Ubuntu and its derivatives, you can install using PPA as shown.
