Cloud backup solutions – there are a number of them in the Linux community and we haven’t reviewed a couple over the past months. That is why we know that not all backup software is created equal.
Today, we’d like to introduce you to Linux backup solution that is reliable and worth your time as well as time of your co-workers. It’s called CloudBerry Backup. Let’s see what’s special about this one.
CloudBerry is a secure cross-platform cloud backup that is integrated with OpenStack Swift, Amazon S3 and Glacier, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Storage, and a host of other cloud storage providers. It is reportedly used by over 300,000 users and 5,000 Managed Service Providers.
CloudBerry does not store any files nor does it include any bundled storage space. Rather, it serves as a modern dashboard with which you can interface with other cloud services on which you can create and manage backup plans.
This way, whatever file transfers you make are authenticated by CloudBerry and sent directly between your PC and cloud storage account.
CloudBerry Managed Backup Service client features a clean UI that can be completely customized to fit your company’s brand identity and style. It also supports an online management control panel with tools that aid you in assisting clients with support.
To sum it all, it is easy to set up and it comes with 2GBs of cloud storage space for each end-user trial. It is a perfect tool for performing file restoration operations as it is coupled with its top-notch security, easy web access, and speedy performance.
There are 2 models – CloudBerry Managed Backup and CloudBerry Backup.
