Akiee is a cross-platform, AGILE-inspired task manager that helps you to concentrate on your most important tasks by making use of ranks instead of priorities.
It features a simple UI with three main tabs, Todo, Doing, and Done. A "+"
button for adding new tasks, an “Editor” button for editing tasks directly, and an “All” button to list all your tasks.

Features in Akiee
- Freeware: You can download and use Akiee free of charge and for as long as you want.
- Open-Source: Akie is released under the GPL2 license and its source code is available on GitHub.
- Cross-Platform: Akiee is built using Node-Webkit, Clojurescript and React and is available to download for Windows, GNU/Linux, and Mac.
- Full Markdown support.
- Dropbox support.
What makes Akiee different from other task manager apps is that instead of changing priorities and due dates of tasks, you stack all your tasks in order of their priority.
Secondly, the 3 tabs, Todo, Doing and Done are regarded as states and they exist to keep you focused on the tasks at hand and what tasks you will need to finish next.
Thirdly, all your tasks are saved in a Markdown file so that you can always use any regular text editor to edit your tasks.
Akiee is based on Org mode, an app used to maintain notes and TODO lists, plan projects, and to author documents using an effective plain-text system and so far it has seen its first beta release.
If you would like to check out a new approach to managing your tasks then give Akiee a try. It’s free!
